Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer individual, couples, and family therapy?

Yes. Our collective includes therapists who specialize in different types of therapy, including individual, couples, and family work. You’ll find each therapist’s specialties listed on their profiles.

How do I choose a therapist?

You can explore our team profiles to find someone who resonates with you. If you’re unsure or feel overwhelmed, we’re happy to help match you with a therapist who fits your needs, preferences, and availability. We will even schedule a free 20-minute consultation so you can feel the fit out for yourself. Just reach out.

Can I switch therapists if I don’t feel like it’s a fit?

Absolutely. Therapy is about finding the right connection, and sometimes it takes a few tries. Because we’re a collective, we can support smooth transitions internally—without you needing to start from scratch.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes, most of our therapists offer secure telehealth sessions for clients located within the state(s) they’re licensed. Please check individual therapist pages for availability and format.

Do you accept insurance?

Some of our therapists accept insurance and some are private-pay only. Visit each therapist’s profile for specifics, or reach out to us with questions about coverage or to discuss how to utilize superbills for reimbursement or to put towards meeting your deductible.

What are your fees?

Fees are based on an hourly rate and vary related to the type of service provided. You may find a list of our fees here.

Are sliding scale spots available?

Yes. Several therapists in the collective offer sliding scale rates based on financial need. These are typically limited in number, so we encourage reaching out to ask about current availability.

How do I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, there are multiple options. You may reach out to us directly via our direct phone line, email, or by completing the contact form. We have also conveniently placed buttons at the top of each page that may be utilized to easily schedule through the Alma platform for sessions with owner, Tracy Lehman through insurance.

What is a counseling collective?

A counseling collective is a group of independently practicing therapists who collaborate under one shared philosophy. At Emovere, this means more diversity in approach and a community of clinicians who support one another—so you can feel supported too.

Do you work with children or teens?

Some of our therapists do work with younger clients, while others specialize in adults. You’ll find this information listed on each profile.

What issues do you specialize in?

As a collective, we support clients navigating:

  • Anxiety, depression, and grief

  • Relationship and attachment challenges

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Identity exploration and life transitions

  • Burnout and boundary work

  • Postpartum issues

  • …and more.

Each therapist brings their own areas of focus—check out our Meet the Team section for details.

What can I expect during the first therapy session?

During the first therapy session, known formally as an intake session, you and your therapist will take the time to get to know each other and discuss your goals and challenges, helping to set the foundation for a collaborative therapeutic journey. For couples and family sessions, some clinicians may utilize a longer intake process, where all family or couple members are seen together for the first session and openly discuss concerns and obstacles. The therapist may then schedule individual sessions with each member of the couple or family to get to understand each person, their background, and their perspective in a safe, non-judgmental space. In addition, during the first session, you will be able to discuss the therapist’s approach, address questions you have, and the therapist will begin to assess for diagnoses and formulate a treatment plan to assist you and/or your family in overcoming your challenges and reaching your goals.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes, your privacy and confidentiality are of utmost importance. We adhere to strict confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines in safeguarding your information. You can read more about our privacy practices here.
